The Good, the Bad, and the Funny: Guests and Hosts Share Questionable Airbnb Experiences

Maybe the reason why this story sounds like an Urban legend is that it happened to so many different people and has been told in so many different versions that some people believe it’s nothing but an Urban legend. However, this person swears it happened to their friend, and I don’t have a hard time believing it.

It must be pretty harrowing coming home from a night out to find out the locks on your Airbnb have been changed, and you can’t get in, and then finding out the owner wasn’t the one who rented the place. There was no way this poor woman could’ve known the host wasn’t the owner of the place but the maid, and she was just a victim of this comically frustrating situation.
