#30: Entitled Customers
This is another reason I could not work in a store, especially one that sold items people expect you to magically produce from the back room. I know I’ve asked the shoe store many times if they could check for my size in the storage area. Twice I’ve been told they don’t keep stock back there, and I graciously thanked them and left.
If someone insisted we had something we didn’t, I’d get very flustered trying to explain. Even worse, if they wanted discounts, I’d have no idea how to handle that. I can only say, “That’s the final price,” so many times before I’d be saying, “Maybe you should shop somewhere less expensive.” I’m pretty sure that is a no-go.
