#13: Down the Drain
If this one is a surprise to you, let me help you out a bit. Flushable wipes are technically flushable, but they don’t dissolve like toilet paper. Honestly, they’re stronger than paper towels, and if you’ve ever used paper towels in your toilet, you know how easy it is to create a clog.
Even worse, they’re mostly made from synthetics, so you’re flushing non-degradable items down the toilet. If you genuinely want to use flushable wipes, throw them in the trash can instead of the toilet bowl. At least they’ll end up in a landfill instead of the sewer or septic tank. This cashier is just looking out for our environment. Someone has to!
