#26: Wasting Time in the Fast Lane
Ah, yes. Here we go. I, too, judge people who hurry up and make everyone else wait. It’s a terrible habit. This is yet another reason I’m so thankful for self-checkout. There’s rarely a line. I have gotten so good at it that I can check out two full carts of groceries and stack them like Tetris on the weight machine.
Even when dealing with an automatic checkout, I still feel bad when I need to go back for an item. So bad, in fact, that I’m more likely not to get the thing than to make the machine wait around for me. I certainly wouldn’t do it in the express lane. Making the cashier and other shoppers wait would be more than I could handle.
