#25: To each their own
Lottery tickets are a hard win. I once used my last two dollars to buy a ticket and won $100, but you can bet that never happened again, which was 16 years ago. Still, where I live, that lottery money funds our schools and college scholarships, so I always remind myself of that when I see people buying mass amounts.
The thing is, some people do win! I have a friend who wins $500 or so regularly. She’s just lucky that way. I wouldn’t want to win more than that. Those large sums when you play Powerball seem like you’d be inviting a lot of trouble from friends and relatives into your life. It’s not worth it. Or that’s what I tell myself…
