Is It a Frog? Is It a fish?
By now, hopefully, you know we aren’t pulling your leg with all these crazy examples of undersea creatures. This oddity is another member of the anglerfish family, and upon first glance, it’s hard to see that it’s even a living creature. Instead, it strongly resembles a coral reef. What excellent camouflage to protect it from predators!

These guys can adapt their looks, too, and resemble a poisonous sea slug in an effort to fool predators further. But frogfish aren’t entirely innocent themselves. They are predators, too, who lie in wait for unsuspecting food to pass close by. Oh, and one other oddity: they walk on their pectoral fins instead of swimming!
