And now for something a little less exotic but maybe more surprising. Does New Jersey sound domestic enough for you? We know what you’re thinking, “Nothing interesting ever happens in New Jersey!” But that’s where you would be wrong because you’ll find this very intriguing. How about some underwater trains off the coast of New Jersey?
Just off Long Branch, New Jersey, sits a train graveyard. These two small locomotives from the 1850s lay 90 feet underwater, completely forgotten until an ocean mapper discovered them in 1985. Nobody can explain how these two trains came to lie at the bottom of the sea, but they sure add to the puzzle of what happens in New Jersey.
