#15: Haggling for Free Stuff
Stories where somebody wants a free item but expects the giver to throw in an extra free item to compensate them for their long drive are surprisingly common. This baffles me, as when people give me free things, I am overwhelmed by their kindness and thank them 80 or 90 times until they’re sick of me.
The best part about this particular story is the taker informing the giver that they are “a terrible businessman.” I mean, technically, it’s probably true; giving away something for free that you might have been able to get money for is probably bad business sense. But in a practical sense, this taker is being absolutely ridiculous and entitled.
