#36: Don’t Ignore It
Staying on the topic of mistakes, make sure you address them before they become more significant problems. If you messed up, offended someone, or reacted in a way you regret, make sure to resolve everything before you move on. Talk to the people involved to make sure everyone is on the same page, and no one is harboring any hurt feelings.
There are consequences to every action, so it’s important to hold yourself accountable. If you don’t confront and resolve a mistake, resentment can grow and it could become a bigger problem in a relationship farther down the line. Being up-front is a great guidepost for navigating healthy relationships.
