#13: Brand Loyalty?
If you’re trying to climb the corporate ladder, remember that work won’t love you back. Even if you have a good relationship with your boss, they’re always looking out for their best interests, not yours. That’s how they became the boss, after all! It sounds selfish, but prioritizing yourself is beneficial in a corporate setting.
Be loyal to yourself and your best interests because any company you work for isn’t going to do that. You’re not required to remain loyal to a company, either. If it’s beneficial for you to do so, jump ship for a better job with better pay. You are a replaceable cog in the corporate wheel, so it’s okay to treat your employer as replaceable, too.
