#5: Seward, NE
You may have been able to see many oversized objects in Casey, IL, but that’s not the only spot in the country where you can see big things. For example, Seward, Nebraska, boasts the world’s biggest time capsule. A man named Harold Keith Davisson buried it there in 1975 so his grandchildren could see what his world was like in those days.
Davisson owned a home furnishings store and built a 45-ton concrete structure in front of it. However, he left instructions that it was not to be opened until July 4, 2025. So, for 50 years, people have been excitedly wondering what he left inside such an enormous time capsule. Will it give the world a good picture of life in 1975? I guess we’ll have to wait three more years to find out!
