#37: Williamsport, PA
Calling all Little League fans! Williamsport, Pennslyvania, is the perfect place to visit if you want to pay tribute to the nation’s great history of Little League. This city boasts The World of Little League Museum and has an art installation of ten bronze statues depicting the game’s history. Of course, it’s only fitting since Little League was first played here.
Carl E. Stotz organized the first Little League baseball team, so he has a statue in his figure. However, that’s not all there is to Williamsport. You can also visit Millionaires’ Row and see a long stretch of beautiful Victorian mansions built in the 1800s by the town’s lumber barons. We wonder if they would have been interested in catching a game in their free time.
