These Green Screen Photos Show Us How the Magic Behind the Screen Is Created

This was one bit of movie magic we really didn’t want to be ruined for us. Of course, we know that the Hulk isn’t real, but we never expected that poor Mark Ruffalo would have to wear a ridiculous outfit to create this enormous superhero. He’s even got fake muscles to go along with his costume!

Mark dons a complex motion capture suit when his character Bruce Banner transforms into the fierce Hulk. The suit even includes a special camera that captures Mark’s facial expressions so Hulk’s face can be just as realistic. He doesn’t usually wear the fake muscles, too, but they needed something large for Chris Hemsworth to wrap his arms around as they fought.
