These Green Screen Photos Show Us How the Magic Behind the Screen Is Created

Our minds were blown when Jon Snow and the Wildlings climbed the Wall on Game of Thrones. That was a dizzying shot when we looked down the length of the wall to see how far they were climbing. And perhaps you were like us and thought that maybe the actors really were climbing an ice wall, just maybe with a bit of help.

You can’t blame us for thinking so since ice climbing is something people actually do. Just not quite as extreme as this! The wall we see Jon and the Wildlings climb is 700 feet tall, but in reality, they were only working with a 30-foot wall. Much safer, right? The green ground below them allowed the tech team to make the ground appear much further below.
