Throughout history, monarchs have had valets or ladies-in-waiting attend to their every need. In fact, back in the day, there would be people who would fully dress and undress royal members of the family! This lack of privacy seems out of this world to many modern people, but having personal attendants is still commonplace for British royals.

That’s why it’s no surprise that King Charles has a team of valets to help him get ready in the morning. Considering that we don’t live in the 17th century anymore, King Charles probably dresses himself. But his valets do other daily tasks for him, like squeezing an inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush and ironing his shoelaces(!). Talk about luxury!
