#15: It’s All Monkey Business in Homosassa, FL
We dream of the idea of playing with monkeys, and apparently, we aren’t the only ones. In the 1960s, a man named G.A. Furgason created a wildlife attraction that included many wild and exotic animals, including monkeys that were being retired from a research facility. But unfortunately, these primates weren’t very well behaved. They were known for tormenting the visitors to the park.
Instead of exiling the monkeys from Homosassa forever, they were relocated to a small island just down the stream from the park. So today, visitors can visit the park and watch these playful and naughty monkeys frolic on their private island while not getting close enough for trouble. It sounds like a perfect day to us!
