We Never Knew These American Small Towns Existed, and Now We’re Intrigued

This next stop is not a town or even an actual village, but more of a community. It’s located in the middle of nowhere in one of the poorest parts of Florida, and that’s by design. Miracle Village is a place where many registered sex offenders come to live in peace once they have served their time and have been released from jail.

This spot was intentionally chosen for its isolation from other populated areas – it’s a 40-minute drive to the nearest grocery store – and is run by Matthew 25: Ministries. Though it was founded and organized by a religious organization, there is no religious requirement to live there. As a result, most people never even realize this community exists.
