We Never Knew These American Small Towns Existed, and Now We’re Intrigued

Deep in the heart of pleasant Connecticut, you may stumble upon the most disturbing place. The land is private property and is heavily patrolled by law enforcement, so you wouldn’t likely get in. That’s probably for the best because bad things have always happened in Dudleytown.

This area was settled in 1747 and prospered for a short time. But it wasn’t long before the farmland went barren and the iron mine dried up. Eventually, all eyes turned upon the Dudley family, who had helped settle the town. After multiple tragedies and disasters to their family, it was natural to think the family was cursed. So, everybody fled the settlement; today, it’s been covered with forest.
