#36: Hit the Devil’s Crossroads in Clarksdale, MS
Music lovers flock to this sleepy, small town to pay homage to one of the greatest blues guitarists of all time, Robert Johnson. Legend says that at this crossroads in Clarksdale, Mississippi, he sold his soul to the devil in exchange for his exceptional guitar skills. The spot is marked with a pole displaying three large guitars.
Thankfully, there is also more in the area for music lovers to do. For starters, there’s the Ground Zero Blues Club, co-owned by Morgan Freeman. The club is located in a former cotton-grading warehouse from over a century ago. You’ll also find the Delta Blues Museum right around the corner.
