#5: Incognito Mode
The past 30 years have seen major advances in surveillance and filming technology. Most of us navigate public spaces under the assumption that we’re being filmed by a security camera or a random person filming a social media video. The thought of being perceived is always in the back of our minds, whether we realize it or not.
We don’t envy teenagers and 20-year-olds today. Anything and everything you do can and will be filmed by someone. Back in the day, we could do the dumbest, most dangerous stuff without it being seen by anyone. Our parents would never find out that we tried jumping off our friend’s roof into their pool. If it didn’t get filmed, did it ever really happen?
