How many pictures and videos do you have on your phone? Probably thousands, right? We take photos and document moments of our lives in an unprecedented way. This is especially true when compared to 30 years ago. Back in the 80s and 90s, documenting people and events in our lives was much more time-intensive.

People used to literally cut and tape segments of film together to make their home movies look good. This was a very DIY approach to editing. There was no such thing as a built-in editing app or a digital editing program. It was all analog, baby. Sure, it took a lot of time and effort. But there was something about it that was just so satisfying.
