Did you ever have a pen pal? Maybe you remember learning cursive in elementary school. Well, we’re here to break the news that things are different today. You’re not the only one who has noticed that the general quality of penmanship has decreased over the last 30 to 50 years. It’s not because people don’t care anymore. Things are just different.

Back in the day, everything was handwritten. There was no such thing as Microsoft Word. Almost everything is printed off a computer or simply read on a screen. There isn’t as much demand for handwriting, so fewer people do so regularly. Who knows what the state of penmanship will be 30 years from now?
