#14: You Had the World in the Palm of Your Hands
It’s hard to imagine a time before the internet. Did we really write research papers and study without the help of the Internet? Yes, yes, we did. Let us take you back to the days of World Book Encyclopedias. Do you remember those? The whole set of encyclopedias was worth a pretty penny, so you were pretty fancy if you had it in your personal library.

Most of us didn’t have a whole set at home, but we accessed them through the library or at school. Those books were amazing. Opening one felt like dipping your toe into a whole new world of knowledge. Somehow, the memories of these books feel way better than simply Googling the answer to something. We had to really work for it if we wanted to learn something new.
