#4: Old Airport Etiquette
It’s hard to imagine, but flying used to be a much more enjoyable experience. A big part of that was the fact that family and friends could drop off or greet you right at the boarding gate. There was no intense TSA security check that required a boarding pass. Anyone and everyone could walk up to an airport gate to say their goodbyes.

Before 2001, people could hang out with their loved ones while they waited for their flight to take off or arrive. It definitely gave airports a more welcoming, cozy vibe. Nowadays, everything and everyone seems disconnected. Air travel is more stressful than enjoyable. We know it’s for the sake of security, but it’s still a bummer.
