#11: Richard Lawrence
Richard Lawrence was a house painter with a bit of a bone to pick with good old President Jackson. Why, you ask? Apparently, Lawrence believed that he was the true king of England. He also thought that Jackson was the reason he couldn’t claim his rightful place on the throne.

So naturally, his solution was to shoot the guy – pretty reasonable, right? Luckily, Lawrence’s attempt failed (it turns out Jackson was made of tougher stuff than a few measly bullets). Lawrence was eventually deemed insane and institutionalized. Perhaps you shouldn’t blame the president of a completely different country for your problems.
