#9: DIY Light Fixture
We aren’t sure what led to this setup, but it’s kind of hilarious. It appears as if a previous light fixture broke, and this person needed a quick, easy, and temporary fix for lighting. If exposed wires and lightbulbs were already there, they had the partial makings of a hanging light. Too bad chandeliers are pretty expensive.
It was wickedly clever to use a simple hangar to hold the lightbulbs in place! What else is a hanger for, after all? Sure, it isn’t the most elegant solution, but it was only temporary. Oh, wait, they left it in place for four years. It doesn’t look very safe to us, but if it held on for four years… well, we can’t argue with these impressive results.
