What’s a person to do when they need to lock their shed but don’t have the proper latch to shut it? Unfortunately, it looks as if this shed door is missing the important plate on the latch to spread from one side of the entrance to the other, so this person came up with the ultimate latch on their own.

Threading a chain through the two loops may have sufficed, but those look a bit too small to accommodate a chain. So instead, this person used an old wrench with a hole drilled into the end. The head of the wrench is large enough to hold the setup in place, and the hole allows a padlock to secure it. Simple and effective!
