#15: Barn Building
The Amish are part of a religious order with very strict and conservative beliefs that trickle down into their everyday lives and affect how they interact with the world. For example, Amish folk are famously averse to using electricity, and that includes all machinery. Instead, they accomplish things the old-fashioned way and with a good dash of ingenuity for good measure.
Needless to say, when they build a barn, they have a system for making a solid and functional one. But what happens if they build it in a spot where it isn’t meant to be? Easy; they gather a hundred or so of their closest friends and simply move it. Haven’t you ever lifted a barn before to help a friend out?
