#44: Start Button
It isn’t uncommon to press a button to get your washing machine to start. Usually, once you press it, the wash cycle gets triggered because the mechanism is being held down in place. But what happens if your start button is broken and it won’t hold the trigger down? Most people would think it was time to get a new washing machine.

This person had a much less expensive solution. They found a clamp from their workshop that could do the task for them. When they close the clamp to create pressure on the start button, the clamp holds the button in place throughout the wash cycle. It may not be pretty, but it works!
