26. Just Business as Usual
This seemed like the proper moment to just let go of the door halfway and go about your business, once they all start pouring through like you’re the doorman. Even if it is someone’s job, a nod and a sincere thank you can go a long way. For any who have worked in customer service, we know the pain of being treated like we’re part of the decoration.

I challenge you this; the next you go somewhere that involves a customer service agent, a server, or a government worker, before you conduct your business, greet them with a genuine smile and ask them how their day is going. I guarantee they will appreciate it, and your entire interaction will be much smoother.
