#18: It’s Ok to Ask Questions
Okay, you are encouraging your child’s curiosity and giving them the space to ask all of the questions that they want to. That’s excellent. You are also respecting them enough to give them legitimate answers to their questions? Amazing. These all sound like excellent parenting behaviors.
But I will bet you two shiny quarters that this person has times when they really regret their highfaluting ideals. I would love to be a fly on the wall when this person’s toddler refuses to accept any of their reasons as to why hamsters cannot be put in the blender. They ask again and again and again why it’s not allowed, and the parent wants to snap, “Because I said so!” and they can’t because they are up way too high on their high horse.
