#19: Intuitive Eating
So I’m no parenting expert, but I can’t imagine forcing a child to stay at the table until they have fallen asleep because they haven’t finished their meal yet really does much to engender good feelings in the child or make them more likely to want to eat food.

But on the other hand, if you never insist that a reluctant eater eats—or worse, if you just let them eat whatever crappy junk food they’re into because you believe in never forcing kids to do something they don’t want to—your kid might be nearing the end due to starvation or scurvy. I’m sorry. They just are.
