#17: Let It Go, Let It Go
There’s probably no person in the world that doesn’t know what Frozen is. I honestly feel bad for all the parents who were tortured with ”Let It Go” playing on repeat for nearly 5 years. Did you know that it actually took 70 years for Disney to have the movie ready? Walt Disney had wanted to make this film since the 1930s!
The most amazing thing about Frozen isn’t the mindblowing animation or catchy songs but the fact that it was Disney’s first movie to be directed by a woman. Jennifer Lee, the film’s co-director, wanted to make a film about female friendship and sisterhood – instead of pitting women against each other to win the prince, as we often see in fairy tales.
