#26: Muriel And The Naughty Men’s Club
If there’s one show that definitely wasn’t made for kids, it’s Courage The Cowardly Dog. I’m still having nightmares with at least 80% of the show’s episodes, it was so creepy! From terrifying demons to flesh-craving zombies, ancient Egyptian curses, and even a foul fungus, the program had its fair share of terrorizing plotlines.
Did you know the names Muriel and Eustace – Courage’s owners – are taken from the middle names of Chandler Bing and Ross Geller of the show Friends? If only Courage The Cowardly Dog was as chipper and lighthearted as Friends. Seriously, did animators in the 90s make use of any illegal substance? There’s no way they were sober when writing this show.
