#5: A Nice Memory From Papa
Most of us remember The Three Little Pigs from this 1993 Disney animation, but did you know the piggies’ story actually goes way back? James Halliwell-Phillipps included The Three Little Pigs in The Nursery Rhymes of England in 1886. The story was then popularized with Joseph Jacobs’s English Fairy Tales, published in 1890.
Most of the audience completely missed this joke back in 1993, but thanks to the powerful Internet, we can now appreciate this subtle but hilarious gem! If The Three Little Pigs’ father was turned into a sausage, does that mean humans live in their universe? Are there any Disney superfans or historians who can confirm this theory? Let us know in the comments!
