#10: You Chose Poorly
In comedy, there is nothing worse than having to explain a joke, but having to explain whom you’re supposed to be impersonating might be a close second. Saturday Night Live has been a mainstay in comedy for over 45 years now, and while the show takes big swings and includes some obscure impressions, maybe don’t use one for your audition. Just ask Kevin Hart.
The impression may have cost Kevin a cast member spot on SNL, but things have panned out just fine for him. He became the first comedian to play for an at-capacity stadium of 50,000 people, and he’s currently the second-highest-paid comedian in the world, following only Jerry Seinfeld. Wow!
