7. Some Folks Are Crazy
Children, especially teenage boys, seem to somehow just be immune to the cold. They can wander through the snow in shorts and sandals and seem completely fine with it. In the meantime, there I am, layering up as if the next Ice Age is upon us, piling on everything but the kitchen sink.
In the great outdoors, they stride with the confidence of summer, while I’m waddling behind like a sherpa loaded for Everest. At home, they’re still in tees, unfazed by the chill, as I’m draped in blankets, seriously considering knitting myself directly into the couch.
