#30: The Woodworker
This has to be one of the most interesting thrift finds we’ve ever seen. One day, our storyteller stopped by a Goodwill they had never visited before. Looking back, they knew this little woodcarver was calling out to them from the shelf. As they were browsing the store, they spotted this little guy carving his toy horse and smoking his pipe.
He looked a little dirty and raggedy, but our storyteller knew they had found something special. When they got home, they discovered that this statue was carved as an incense burner. There was a space in the back to place the incense cone. The smoke is supposed to come out of his mouth. The pipe makes sense now, right? Our storyteller has no idea if this little guy was handmade, but he’s certainly unique.
