#25: All is Calm, All is Bright
Ceramic Christmas trees were all the rage in the 1960s and ‘70s. Like all fads, they fell out of style in the ‘80s but have been returning in recent years. People like the kitschy nostalgia associated with these trees. Some people love these trees so much that they have a huge collection they display every year. This person is truly dedicated to the life of a ceramic Christmas tree collector.
Look at this glorious collection! Our storyteller shared that the largest tree on the left is the family heirloom that sparked their passion for collecting. From there, they started accumulating vintage trees from antique shops and handmade ceramic shops. They have collected so many trees that they’ve even given some away as gifts. In our opinion, this is a pretty festive way to celebrate the holidays.
