The Crimes of Robert LeRoy Anderson
Robert LeRoy Anderson was convicted of kidnapping, raping, and murdering two women, one of whom has never been found. His heinous acts cost him his life as he was sentenced to death in 1999. However, he didn’t carry out his sentence, as he was found dead in his prison cell in 2003 after having taken his own life.
Whilst in prison, Anderson was known to brag about his crimes to other inmates and told them where he had left “trophies” of his crimes. His inmate, Jeremy Brunner, contacted the attorney general’s office from prison to tell of these important details. Certain evidence, such as clothing, jewelry, and bones, were later found in various locations, thanks to Brunner.
