Things Everyone Used to Have in the Past But Unfortunately Aren’t So Common Anymore

It’s safe to say that streaming services have gotten out of hand. There are way too many streaming services, and they all cost way too much money. If you want to watch a certain show, you often have to sign up for a new streaming service. Ugh. Let’s go back to 30 years ago, when hit TV shows only aired at a certain time on a certain channel.

Remember rushing home on Thursday night so you could watch the new episode of your favorite primetime comedy or drama? If you were busy, you could tape it and watch it later. You were out of luck if you missed it, though! It was comforting to know that you were watching the same thing with thousands of other people at the same time. Streaming has eradicated that collective experience for the most part.
