#20: Local Newspapers
Local news used to be way more robust than it is today. Overall, local reporting and hyper-local newspaper companies have dwindled to almost nothing. We kind of miss this local reporting because it created a sense of community and kept people in the loop with what was going on in their city.

About 30 years ago, it wasn’t uncommon for most families to have a local newspaper subscription. Those black-and-white papers would land on our driveways every morning, filled to the brim with local and national news. Now, it seems like international news is a constant barrage of information in our lives. But do we know what’s going on in our local communities?
