You didn’t really think that Henry Cavill was flying in Superman, did you? Of course, you didn’t. By now, we bet you have figured out how the director made his flying so realistic. The special effects team suspended Henry from wires in front of a green screen, naturally! We bet a well-placed fan helped create the illusion, too.

But let’s not forget that Christopher Reeves did it first and arguably best. CGI technology wasn’t as advanced when his version of Superman was filmed, so how did he make it look so realistic? Christopher tapped into his experience as a pilot! He pretended that his body was the plane and that he was flying it. Now that’s what we call method acting!
