#4: Dippin’ Dots
As a kid, I thought Dippin’ Dots were the most magical food in the world. The only place that sold them nearby was the water park, so to me, they have always tasted like summer, friends, and freedom. I wonder if I would have loved them so much if I had known that they were born out of an attempt to feed cows more efficiently.

As it turns out, a man called Curt Jones was looking for a new and better way to get cow feed into his cows. He had the idea to freeze cow feed with liquid nitrogen, but first, he tried it on ice cream. It was delicious and fun to eat, and all of my summer memories were born at that moment.
