#6: I’m Lovin’ It
Poor McDonald’s. It has never claimed to be anything but a fast-food restaurant, yet people often get mad at it for serving junk food. In the 1990s, they infamously changed their amazing French fries after being pressured by a man named Phil Sokolof, who was worried about Americans eating unhealthy food.

But it’s never enough; people still pressure them about offering healthy choices—enough to prompt them, in the not-too-distant past, to attempt to develop broccoli that tastes like bubble gum. Maybe instead of asking a hamburger joint to pretend it’s a salad bar, we should just encourage Americans to eat McDonald’s like they should be eating all junk food: only in moderation.
