So Long to Seven Years of Work
Some estimates claim that it takes as much as two years to grow dreadlocks, but the gentleman in this story had been at it for a total of seven years. With a time commitment like that, it is no surprise that he was not excited to cut them off for a wedding. Also, dreadlocks are usually a big representation of someone’s spiritual journey.
Despite that, cutting off his dreads is exactly what the bride and groom asked him to do. There is no indication in this story that the groomsman fulfilled that request, but for his sake and personal sovereignty, I hope he stuck with his preferred hairstyle.
