#16: Halloween
Even the most notorious killers need to indulge in life’s simple pleasures—a bite to eat, a refreshing drink. When the director yells “cut,” the menacing mask is peeled off, revealing not a cold-blooded murderer but actor Nick Castle. For most of the films, Castle is beneath the mask, momentarily trading his reign of terror for the comforting embrace of sustenance.

Despite the bizarre sight of Myers relishing a Dr. Pepper, his chilling villainy across all his cinematic appearances remains unscathed. While aware that these horror spectacles are merely actors, the mood is a delicate tapestry easily torn by an errant image. Yet, even amidst his sugary indulgences, Myers’ reign of terror is undeniably persuasive, proving that horror and soda can make a devilishly delightful mix.
