#15: Vintage Christmas
Vintage Christmas decor from the 1950s has come back into vogue. In recent years, many people have been drawn to the nostalgic and kitschy appeal of ceramic Christmas wreaths and tinsel trees in pastel colors. This storyteller made a thrift store discovery that she simply couldn’t pass up. This ceramic Christmas tree was only eight dollars!
The style of this tree is very 1950s. It looks so whimsical and charming but kind of odd. What are those indentations along the bottom of the tree? Well, this piece of decor was made specifically to hold deviled eggs! How retro is that? Our storyteller isn’t a big deviled egg person, but they can use this dish to hold candy, cookies, and many more holiday goodies.
