#25: Life Savers
If you think about it, calling a candy “life savers” is as clever as it is ironic. The Life Savers candy bar was a popular treat that was first introduced in the 1920s; the candy bar featured a unique combination of creamy milk chocolate and the iconic Life Savers hard candies. It was originally made by the Curtiss Candy Company, which was also responsible for creating other beloved candies like Baby Ruth and Butterfinger.
The Life Savers candy bar was known for its distinctive shape, which resembled the classic Life Savers candy, and its creamy chocolate flavor combined with the fruity taste of the Life Savers. Although the candy bar was eventually discontinued, it remains a nostalgic favorite among candy enthusiasts.
