#36: WD-40
WD-40: to hear some people talk about it, you can only conclude it’s the most amazing invention known to man, fulfilling a million vital uses around your home. But it was not invented for home use; in fact, it was invented for something very different, indeed.
What came to be known as WD-40 was created by a man named Norman Larsen, and it was actually for use on missiles! It was supposed to keep them from corroding. But it ended up having so many other useful functions that he decided to sell it commercially, and now there’s a can in just about every garage in America!
